Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner and choose About This Mac.• If you see Chip followed by Apple M and any number (for example M1, M3 or M5), choose Apple Silicon.• If you see Processor followed by Intel, choose Intel.
The first time the agent opens, macOS will ask you to allow Screen Recording and Accessibility. You can turn these on in System Settings › Privacy & Security. If macOS blocks the app from opening, go to the same page and click Open Anyway.
Choose .deb for Ubuntu, Debian, Linux Mint or Pop!_OS, and .rpm for Fedora, Red Hat, Rocky or AlmaLinux.
You may need to allow your browser to install unknown apps. When we connect, tap Start service and accept the screen-sharing prompt.
Only run the support agent when you're speaking to a GH Technical technician. We will never contact you unexpectedly asking you to install it.
Save your work and do a full restart (not just closing the lid or logging off). Restarting clears out memory and finishes pending updates, which fixes most slowness. If it's still slow afterwards, log a ticket and we'll take a look remotely.
First check whether it's just you or everyone in the office, and whether other devices are affected. Then switch the router off at the wall, wait 30 seconds and switch it back on. If it's still down after a few minutes, call us. We'll check the line and deal with your internet provider for you.
Make sure the printer is on, has paper and toner, and isn't showing an error on its screen. Restart the printer and your computer, then try again. If it still won't print, log a ticket with the printer name and any error message.
Don't enter any passwords or details, and don't forward the email to colleagues. If you've already clicked a link or typed in a password, call us immediately so we can secure your account. Leave the computer on so we can check it.
One of our technicians connects to your device using our GH Technical Support Agent, with your permission. You'll see everything they do and can end the session at any time. Only run the agent when you're speaking to us, and never for someone who contacts you unexpectedly.
Tell us about your business and we'll help you find the right technology and support.
